GLASS ELEVATOR
theatrical short | 2K | 2017
creative roles: director | cinematographer | editor
GLASS ELEVATOR is a trip down a stretch of the scenic CA County Route S-22. Route S-22 is a winding cliffside road at the edge of Anza-Borrego Desert State Park. Sometimes referred to as 'the glass elevator', this particular stretch descends across 12 miles and 3,468 feet in elevation from foothills into desert flatlands. The film travels through several stylistic iterations of the 14-minute drive from top to bottom, exploring the affect of landscape, and the geologic makeup of personal history.
The project received an interdisciplinary grant from the CalArts Provost, and screened in the Bijou Theater in Valencia, CA.
